What is SISAL? - Exploring Fabric Colors by Name

Written By Kate Guy

The wonderful Agave plant called SISAL, pronounced sis-al, yields a stiff and durable fiber that we commonly see made into rugs, cat-scratching posts, dartboards etc., but mainly it’s known as a leading source for the making of twine and ropes.

At Greenhouse Fabrics, you’ll see our sisals in an array of different patterns and textures in soft tans and browns. Always a lovely and safe neutral for any home!

To request a free sample of Sisal or any of our fabrics visit greenhousefabrics.com or contact one of our Customer & Fabric Specialists at 866-755-5000.
