What's the difference between Greenhouse Design and Greenhouse Fabrics?

Greenhouse Design is the fastest growing supplier of mid-priced, multi-purpose fabrics and decorative trim to the interior design trade, while Greenhouse Fabrics provides a complete line of upholstery fabrics, vinyl, leather and supplies to the re-upholstery trade and furniture manufacturers.

Why do I need to login?

In order to see pricing (both in fabric descriptions and in our downloadable pricelists) or to place orders on the website, you will need to login. Many other features of our site are only available to registered dealers, such as the Quick Order, My Account and My Portfolio.

How and where can I login?

Enter your email address and password to login. You can do this at the header (top right hand corner) of every page.

I have an account with Greenhouse, but do not have a username or password to order on the web.

If you have an email address on file to which you are currently receiving shipment notifications, statements or invoices, this email address is also your login username. You will need to call customer service at 866.755.5000 to setup a password.

How do I change my password?

You can change your password at anytime by logging in and clicking on My Account. Once in My Account, click on "Profile" and then click on the “Edit” button, to edit your profile information and update or change your email (login) and password. You must type the password twice to verify it.

What if I forget my password?

We can always email your password to your Login email. Click on the “Forgot Password?” link just below the login fields at the top right hand corner of every page. If you’ve forgotten your email login, or this email is no longer in service, please contact customer service at 866.755.5000.

What is your company return policy?

We only accept returns of more than 5 yards for a refund. No returns will be accepted without prior approval and must be initiated within 30 days of the invoice date. Refused shipments, customer duplicate orders or cancellation after shipment are subject to a 20% re-stocking charge plus all freight charges. Please inspect all items for correct pattern, color, quantity, and quality before cutting. Items cannot be returned for credit after any kind of alteration.

I received the wrong item, now what should I do?

Call customer service at 866.755.5000 to inform them of the mistake; we will send you a UPS call-tag which will allow you to return the fabric at no extra charge and we will reship the correct item for you. All shipping costs will be at our expense.

How do I unsubscribe from your email list?

At the bottom of every mass email sent out is an Unsubscribe link. Simply click on this link to unsubscribe from our mailing list.

What is your privacy policy?

If you become a dealer, you give us permission to send you email updates and promotions. If you do not wish to receive these emails, simply click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email.
Greenhouse does not share any dealer information with third parties. Greenhouse may release specific dealer information to comply with valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order. In all cases, Greenhouse will make commercially reasonable efforts to protect all of your private information, especially your credit card information, using standard security measures such as data encryption both within the database and during relevant transmission.
Greenhouse uses dealer information for billing and accounting purposes, as well as to enhance your experience with the website. Additionally, Greenhouse may use aggregate data concerning dealers’ use of the website in order to determine how our dealers use different parts of the website, and to improve the features and functionality of the website.

Is your site secure?

Yes, Greenhouse does take measures to prevent unauthorized disclosures of information. We use a GeoTrust SSL certificate to ensure all online transactions are kept confidential using 128-bit encryption.

Orders

How do I place an order on the website?

Add any product to your shopping cart by clicking the “Add to Cart” button on the fabric detail pages. You can view the items in your cart at any time by clicking on the “View Cart” button at the top right corner of the page. In the shopping cart you can adjust stock as necessary and then click the “Checkout” button at the bottom left corner of the page. Fill in all necessary fields at checkout (including shipping and payment information) and then review and confirm your order. You will get an order confirmation number immediately upon placing the order, confirming that the order was processed. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment notification by email.

What is Quick Order?

If you know which products you need to order and have their SKU numbers available (from our sample books or other sources) you can enter your order into our Quick Order. Enter the SKU numbers and select the amount of yardage you need or check the Memo box to receive a memo sample. Click the “Continue” button in the lower left corner of the page to proceed in adding your items to the shopping cart and then proceed through checkout as normal. Be sure all items you entered on the form appear in the shopping cart. If an item does not appear, the number entered was invalid.
 
Quick Order tips: only the SKU number is necessary, not the color name. If you press continue and you are not brought to the shopping cart page, but rather back to the Quick Order form, make sure you have entered the SKU number(s) correctly. Do not use dashes in the SKU number; you do not have to include "A" and "B" with the SKU numbers. Unfortunately, vinyl cannot be ordered on the Quick Order form at this time, please call customer service for help with ordering vinyl.

Can I make changes to orders once they’ve been placed?

If you call our customer service department at 866.755.5000 immediately after placing your order, we will make every effort to accommodate any changes to your order. Please make note of your order confirmation number to aid in this process. However, because many orders are fulfilled and shipped out shortly after they are placed, there are no guarantees that the changes can be made.

What increments can I order fabric in, and is there a minimum required to order?

Fabrics and Trim can be ordered in .25 yard increments with a .25 yard minimum order. Leather must be ordered as a full hide (approximately 45-55 square feet).

What to do if I need to order a CFA or I need to order more fabric to finish a job.

In order to get a cutting for approval, place a fabric on hold, or reorder a fabric in a matching dye lot please contact customer service at 866.755.5000.

Can I special order an item not seen on the website?

We would be happy to look into specially ordering a fabric or supply item that you cannot find on our website. Please call customer service at 866.755.5000 for assistance in placing a special order.

Can I place a backorder on the website?

Yes, if our website is showing less yardage available than needed, simply put in the full quantity that you need and press "Add to Cart."  Once the yardage is placed in the shopping cart, you will be notified of an approximate backorder date.  The full amount entered will be placed on backorder (we will not send you what we currently have in stock). Backorders will automatically ship upon arrival. You can call customer service to cancel a backorder any time before the order has shipped.  If a fabric with low stock is showing "Qty. On Order", a backorder is already in place for this item and you can expect a shorter turn-around time. Unfortunately, dropped items cannot be backordered.

I need more yardage of a mill drop, than you have available. What can I do?

If a pattern is no longer available because the mill has discontinued it, contact our customer service department at 866.755.5000. Our research department will find substitute patterns and similar fabrics for you.

What are my payment options when placing orders on the web?

You may pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or have a package shipped C.O.D. for an additional fee. Existing accounts who have qualified for Net 30 terms will have this option available at Checkout as well.

When will my order ship?

Any order placed by 3 pm EST will ship that same day. Orders placed after 3 pm will ship the following business day.

Where is my fabric shipping from and when can I expect to receive it?

Your orders will be shipping from our warehouses in High Point, NC. For approximate shipping time from our warehouse location, please download our UPS Shipping Map.

What are my shipping options?

Credit approved orders for in-stock cut yardage received by 3 p.m. normally ship the same day. All orders are shipped via UPS Ground unless specified otherwise. Memo sample orders are shipped through the U.S. Postal Service.

How can I track my order?

Your tracking number will be emailed in your Shipping Confirmation email. You can also contact customer service to track your package at 866.755.5000. Once your order is confirmed, you can view it in My Account under Order History where your tracking number is listed with a direct link to the UPS tracking site.

What if my package arrives damaged?

If your package arrives damaged a claim can be filed with UPS. Please contact customer service at 866.755.5000 to get your order reshipped and to assist you in filing a reimbursement claim with UPS.

Can I order a memo sample for a fabric seen on the website?

Memo samples are available for most fabrics on the website and they are FREE of charge. We highly recommend ordering memo samples prior to placing any fabric order in order to ensure color accuracy (as color can vary on different computer monitors). Call customer service at 866.755.5000 for additional information.

What do RR and UTR mean?

RR and UTR refer to the application of the fabric and the direction in which the pattern and threads run. RR (Railroaded) refers to patterns running selvedge to selvedge; UTR (Up the Roll) refers to patterns running up the roll.

How can I receive your sample books?

Please contact customer service at 866.755.5000 to get on our sample book mailing list.

Due to the tactile qualities of our fabrics, our sample books are hands down the best tool with which to sell our fabrics. If you currently use only the website as your platform from which to sell Greenhouse fabrics, we encourage ordering memo samples of our products.

Website Features

How do I find wholesale pricing?

You must login to see wholesale pricing. Once logged in, wholesale pricing is visible on every product detail page. You can also click on the Pricelist link to download any of our pricelists, including our Master Pricelist or any individual pricelists by book number.

How do I use the features in My Account?

You can update your customer profile, as well as change your username and password in My Account, by pressing the edit button and updating the fields requiring updating. Changing your email will result in a change to the Login Username; when changing your password, you must type it twice to verify it. 
 
Saving credit card information, will allow you to access these cards quickly and easily at checkout. Our secure site encrypts all credit card information to ensure safe transactions, at checkout only the last four digits of the credit card will be present.

How do I use My Portfolio?

My Portfolio is a great tool to stay organized while purchasing fabrics for multiple customers or jobs. 

You must be logged-in to use My Portfolio, which is a feature of My Account, so you must first click on the “My Account” button and then “My Portfolio” to set up clients and add jobs (Example: Jane Smith, Master Bedroom). Once you've added your customers, on any fabric detail page, you can roll your mouse over the “Send to Portfolio” button and all of your saved clients and jobs will appear, then simply click on a particular job to save the fabrics there.  
 
You can place your orders directly from My Portfolio by going to My Account, then My Portfolio and clicking on the job name, setting the quantity you need to order, and clicking the “Add to Cart” button.

How do I use the Address Book?

The address book is located under “My Account”, which is where you can add and edit any ship-to addresses. Any addresses saved in your Address Book are accessible at Checkout, for a quick and efficient checkout process. You cannot edit the details of you billing address in the Address Book; if you need help updating billing information, please contact our customer service department at 866.755.5000.

Where is my Order History?

Order History is located under “My Account”. Simply click on Order History to view a listing of your past orders including the product ordered, order total (shipping costs are NOT included), order status, and tracking number (with a link to the UPS tracking site).

How do I use the Search Box and Product Finder features?

If you have a SKU number, color, single-word descriptive phrase (Ex: chenille) or the mill's pattern name (Ex: Hampton Blue) you can enter it into the Search Box and click "Go" or press "Enter" to locate products. For more precise searches, you can use the Product Finder to set a value for a number of search fields such as color, category, sample book and price. For example: Fabrics / Red / Stripes / Linen Look - will pull all of the red striped fabrics with a linen-like texture.  To enter more than one category on the Product Finder, click the "Add" button directly to the right of the Category drop-down box and you will be able to select additional categories.

How do I use Quick Order?

If you know which products you need to order and have their 4, 5, or 7-digit SKU number (available from our sample books or other sources) you can enter your order into our Quick Order form. Enter the SKU numbers and select the amount of yardage you need or check the "Memo" box to receive a memo sample. Click the “Continue” button in the lower left corner of the page to proceed with adding your items to the shopping cart and then proceed through checkout as normal.

How can I email fabrics to my clients?

From any product detail page, click on the “Email this Fabric” button to format and send an email which includes a picture of the fabric, plus a full description of the fabric. Your email will appear as the “From” email and you can set the “Subject” line as well, and add an additional message if you wish. 

This is a helpful tool for both designers to communicate with their clients, and consumers to email their desired purchases to a Greenhouse dealer.

Note: The email will not show any wholesale pricing.
